About the winery
To understand our project, besides the family's long tradition of caring for the land and growing vines, special mention must go to Don Luis Varela Álvarez de Toledo, who had a close relationship with the vineyards and wine; it is directly thanks to him that we can present our wine as the most intimate interpretation of winemaking in El Bierzo and as a serious proposal for the future. His mother, Sara Álvarez de Toledo, was born in Villafranca del Bierzo, and his sister Amancia was a nun at the cloistered Convent of La Anunciada.
