About the winery
For hundreds of years, the Muscat of Alexandria vineyards in the coastal mountains south of Granada, in the Sierra de Los Guájares, have been famous. It is there, on the improbably steep slopes of Pago de la Guindalera, that the 30- to 120-year-old vines that Horacio Calvente lovingly tends are found. From these vineyards comes a dry white Muscat of Alexandria wine that proudly bears the Calvente name, considered one of the best wines in the world by the best-known commentators.
