About the winery
Murchante has witnessed a flourishing production of quality wine, as shown by the fact that the French, whose vineyards had been ravaged by phylloxera, were astonished to discover the wines of this Ribera Baja village, excellent for the most select palates of Versailles. It was precisely the high price paid for them that drove Murchante's expansion, and so, in 1958, Campos de Enanzo was created to defend the interests of local wine producers.
