Our ancestors grew the native Prieto Picudo grape for centuries, making light, fruity wines from it that were largely for family consumption or for the immediate surroundings. The area where the modern winery stands was once home to extensive vineyards, which dwindled over the course of the 20th century until they all but disappeared. Our first steps were planting new vineyards with the native Prieto Picudo variety and later building the winery.
