Bodegas Coruña del Conde is a family winery in the Burgos village of the same name, covered by the Castilla y León vino de la tierra. It was started in 1990 by Alberto López Calvo, who had worked for almost forty years in wine and cooperage in Bordeaux. After his death, his grandson settled in the village in 2013 and since 2014 has looked after vineyards and winery with his wife, Angélica Amo López, and his cousin Luis López Marina. They make natural wines, from grapes alone and without herbicides or plant treatments. The Alberto López Calvo range blends Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with long ageing; Alto Otero BC/DC comes from vines planted by the grandfather in 1970, and I'm Natural, Don't Panic, from century-old vines, includes reds, whites and orange wines.
