The wine-growing area of Bodegas del Señorío dates its official winemaking history from 1780, when the Spanish landowner J. Asensio acquired these fertile lands in the village of Almonacid de la Sierra in the Cariñena region. Judging by archive documents, this landowner was always involved in the development of agriculture. But the estate experienced its true boom in 1910, when the new owner began actively developing the winemaking industry. For 80 years the company was called Bodegas Martínez Gutiérrez.
