About the winery
The story of Bodegas El Lagar de Isilla and its wines began in 1995 in Ribera del Duero. It all started in the historic 15th-century cellar beneath the El Lagar de Isilla restaurant in Aranda de Duero. There, 12 metres underground, the Zapatero Pinto family made the first 50,000 bottles of a wine that is now a benchmark, with an annual production of 250,000 bottles. The El Lagar de Isilla production winery: the success of the wines produced by El Lagar de Isilla led the Zapatero Pinto family to consider a new location for their winery.
