Bodegas Estefanía
About the winery
Bodegas Estefanía is in Dehesas, next to Ponferrada, in the D.O. Bierzo, and releases its wines under the Tilenus brand, named after the ancient protector god of El Bierzo. Its vineyards, set between the Camino de Santiago and Las Médulas, are farmed organically, and the winemaking is in the hands of oenologist Raúl Pérez, a champion of site wines, using native yeasts and minimal intervention in the cellar. Mencía leads reds such as Tilenus Roble, La Florida, Las Laderas, Pagos de Posada, Pieros and Entrecuestas, while Godello gives whites such as Tilenus La Florida Godello and Monteseiros. The winery offers guided visits with tasting and, in spring and summer, a picnic with wine tasting for groups.
