About the winery

Bodegas Félix Callejo is a family winery in Sotillo de la Ribera (Burgos), in the D.O. Ribera del Duero, founded in 1989 by Félix and Pilar. Today it is run by their children Beatriz, Noelia, José Félix and Cristina, who worked at wineries in France, Chile, California and Argentina before returning to the village. Their vineyards lie between 830 and 930 metres, with soils ranging from plateau limestone to gravel, sand and clay, and their aim is to express Sotillo and its sites. They make Félix Callejo, Majuelos de Callejo, Parajes de Callejo, Finca Valdelroble, El Lebrero, the clarete Viña Pilar and Flores de Callejo. Beatriz guides visits by appointment through the vineyard, barrel room and winemaking area, with a tasting or tapas, and they also offer a free tasting in the picnic area.
