About the winery
Finca Cuatro Vientos lies in the municipality of Murtas, in the heart of La Contraviesa, halfway between Sierra Nevada and the Mediterranean, and belongs to the D.O.P. Granada, Contraviesa-Alpujarra subzone. It farms some 30 hectares of its own vineyards on slopes at around 1,150 metres, grown organically, plus another 10 from partner growers, and does everything on the estate, from vineyard to bottling. Its winemaker, Francisco Javier Molina, signs more than twenty wines under brands such as Marqués de la Contraviesa, Malafollá and 4V. Besides the winery, with an underground ageing cellar, it has a restaurant serving Alpujarra cooking, accommodation and the Contraviesa Wine Museum. It offers guided visits, tasting courses and group packages.
