The origins of Gómez Cruzado date back to 1886, when D. Ángel Gómez de Arteche, a Mexican nobleman connected to the Duchy of Moctezuma de Tultengo, decided to make and bottle wines in Haro, in the very heart of Rioja Alta. Thus, in Haro's Barrio de la Estación, was born one of the century-old wineries that wrote the history of modern Rioja at the end of the 19th century.
