About the winery

Bodegas Irache, founded in 1891, is one of the oldest wineries in Navarra. As early as the 10th century, Benedictine monks made wines that served as nourishment and medicine for pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago. These wines were served at the banquets of the royal family of Navarra and were exported to France and Portugal by the monks of the monastery.
