About the winery
Bodegas Javier San Pedro Ortega is in Laguardia, in Rioja Alavesa, within the D.O.Ca. Rioja. Javier San Pedro is the fifth generation of a family of grape growers from the village: he learned the trade from his grandfather, made his first wine at 17 in his father's winery and then launched his own project, focused on single-vineyard wines, with a new winery since 2018. His range runs to more than fifteen wines, from the Cueva de Lobos line, with a white, rosé, young red, carbonic maceration and crianza, to wines such as Viuda Negra, Anahí, Prado de las Almas, Las Levantadas, Otra Historia, Nunca Jamás, Arca de Asa and La Taconera. It offers wine tourism visits and has a wine bar at the winery, in collaboration with the chefs of Ikaro restaurant.
