About the winery
Bodegas La Canetana is a small family winery in Canet lo Roig, in the Baix Maestrat district in the north of Castellón, under the I.G.P. Castelló. Its story begins in 2014, when the family discovered, near their home, an abandoned winery with vineyards that had been neglected for years. They restored the vines, modernised the winery and renewed the equipment, and since then they have handled everything themselves, from pruning and harvest to winemaking, aiming to improve with every vintage. They grow varieties suited to the climate, including Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc, and their range includes Blanc de Canet, Maxim, Marie and Alexander, wines found in selected restaurants in Spain and in specialist shops in Belgium. The winery can be visited to taste its wines, by getting in touch beforehand.
