Bodegas Navaltallar is in Navalilla (Segovia), a few metres from the Duratón river, in the D.O.P. Valtiendas. It was founded in 2003 by Romualdo Maldonado and his family to revive the village's winemaking tradition, and released its first wines in 2010. It farms 8.5 hectares of Tempranillo and makes three reds that differ in their time in barrel: Navaltallar Joven, Navaltallar Roble and Navaltallar Crianza. The visit, lasting about an hour and a half, works as a short introductory course in viticulture, winemaking and tasting: you tour the vineyard and the winery and taste the three house wines. It can be combined with a trip to the Hoces del Duratón gorges, less than three kilometres away.
