Bodegas Pedro Escudero is a family project in La Seca, in the heart of the Rueda D.O., rooted in generations of farming people. Their vines are almost all within La Seca, at around 750 metres above sea level, on poor gravel and pebble soils that reach almost to the Duero. The centrepiece is the Pago de Fuente Elvira, built up little by little by joining small plots that still keep the names of their former owners. They practise traditional viticulture, with Verdejo as the main grape alongside Viura and Sauvignon Blanc. Their wines include Fuente Elvira Verdejo, The Maker range, a Sauvignon Blanc, a semi-sweet wine and Bestia Parda.
