Bodegas Roda was born in 1987 in Haro's Barrio de la Estación, in Rioja Alta, when the Rotllant Daurella family came to La Rioja intending to bring a fresh perspective to the region's wine. Its vineyards, between 380 and 650 metres above sea level, lie in an area where Atlantic, continental and Mediterranean climates meet. It makes six wines: Bodegas Roda Sela, the youngest; Roda and Roda I, which show the two ripening profiles of Tempranillo, red fruit and black fruit; Cirsion; Roda I Blanco, its first white; and the Rosado Reserva Perdigón. Next to the winery they have a wine bar in a 19th-century cellar, and the visits include guided tastings and, from May to October, a walk to the Perdigón vineyard.
