About the winery
San Martín de Unx saw the birth of the winery in 1914. The existence of a wine-growing culture in the area dates back to the Middle Ages, as shown by the numerous testimonies speaking of the quality of the wines of the old Kingdom of Navarre. There are even references to Roman wineries excavated in the Ribera and to its people's devotion to growing vines. A total of 192 members took part in the founding of Bodegas San Martín in 1914, making wines from the Garnacha and Garnacha Blanca varieties in the Baja Montaña area.
