About the winery
Bodegas Sendero Royal makes and ages its wines in Aldeanueva de Ebro, in Rioja Oriental, within the D.O.Ca. Rioja. Its starting point is the vineyard of Gonzalo Ruiz Pastor's family, at around five hundred metres above sea level, planted with Tempranillo, Graciano, Garnacha and Mazuela. With those grapes they produce a short, clear range under the Sendero Royal label: a Tempranillo Blanco, a young red Tempranillo, a Garnacha, a Crianza, a Reserva and a Limited Edition. The Crianza, for example, blends Tempranillo and Graciano and spends fourteen months in French and American oak barrels before resting in bottle. The winery sums up its way of working as a taste for things done well.
