The great potential of the then little-known Ribera del Duero in the early 1980s did not go unnoticed by some winemakers of Leonese origin, who decided to bet on it. Thus in 1986 Bodegas Señorío de Nava was founded in Nava de Roa, Burgos, becoming one of the first wineries to belong to the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin. Located on the outskirts of the village, the former facilities of the San Antolín cooperative were completely extended and refurbished, equipped with the latest technological advances in oenology.
