Bodegas Tritium is a family winery in Cenicero, in Rioja Alta, with five generations devoted to the vine. It occupies a restored 15th-century winery with ashlar stone treading vats, a press and two cellars dug some ten metres underground, where some of its wines rest. They work with old vineyards and limited production, combining barrels with clay amphorae. Their range goes from traditional Riojas (rosé, white, semi-crianza, crianza and reserva) to selection wines such as Tritium Garnacha, Garnazuelo or Tempranillo, and single-plot wines from vines over 120 years old, such as Largo Graciano, Marón or Mazuelo. The visit tours the old winery and ends with a tasting which, depending on the experience, may include single-plot wines or a vineyard visit, with a Rioja-style appetiser.
