About the winery
Bodegas Valsardo stands on the Pago de la Fuentecilla in Peñafiel (Valladolid), within the D.O. Ribera del Duero. The company was set up in 1998, although its vineyards have been tended since 1986, and it focuses on red wines that build on the maturity of those vines. Its range revolves around the Valsardo label, with crianzas, reservas and reservas superiores, also in magnum, and is completed by Privado de Valsardo, Valdeyuso and a kosher version of Valsardo. Besides wine, the house makes an aguardiente de orujo from the skins of its own grapes.
