About the winery
Bodegas Vega del Castillo was born in 1999 through the efforts of a number of winegrowers from three emblematic villages of the Ribera Alta of Navarre: Olite, Pitillas and Ujué. They thus managed to join forces and determination for the joint production and marketing of their wines. The new entity emerged from the merger of the Bodega Cooperativa Olitense, the oldest of them all, founded in 1910 by Victoriano Flamarique in Olite, with the Unión de Cooperativas Virgen de Ujué (Ujué) and the Cooperativa Vinícola Nuestra Señora de Ujué (Pitillas).
