In the heart of the Rioja Alavesa, sheltered by the Sierra de Cantabria, in an area recognised for wines of excellent quality, lies Bodegas Viña Laguardia. The beginnings of Viña Laguardia date back to 1910 in the village of Elvillar de Álava, located on a hillside with numerous manor houses 4 km from Laguardia, whose history goes back to the age of the dolmens. One kilometre from the winery is «La Chabola de la Hechicera», a megalithic funerary monument well worth a visit.
