About the winery
Bodegas Viñas Nuevas is a family project in Aldeanueva de Ebro, in Rioja Oriental and within the D.O.Ca. Rioja. Behind it are the Ruiz Ruiz siblings, who, after training in their own fields, returned to the family's grape-growing business: Enrique handles winemaking and the cellar, Cristina management and sales, and Francisco the vineyard. Their family has grown vines for generations, and with this winery they took the step of making their own Rioja. The result is Laetus, a wine made from selected grapes from their family vineyards, in which they seek to combine tradition with a modern approach to winemaking.
