About the winery
After hard work recovering native Asturian varieties with the CSIC, Vitheras was born in 2014 to continue the family project and professionalise winemaking. Protected from the humid air masses of the coast by immense mountain barriers, our vineyards lie on the sunny slopes of the deep valleys of Cangas del Narcea in the Principality of Asturias. The type of viticulture we practise is heroic viticulture, on steep slopes and with difficult terrain, which accounts for 5% of the world's viticulture.
