About the winery
Bodegas Vivanco is located in Briones, a privileged spot in Rioja Alta, in the foothills of the Sierra de Cantabria and on the banks of the river Ebro. An area with a mild microclimate and extraordinary clay-limestone soils. Around the winery lies the Finca El Cantillo, which takes its name from the abundance of pebbles (cantos rodados) in the soil. Tempranillo is the main variety, but not the only one. In this vineyard we can also find other varieties that we use in our wines: Graciano, Garnacha, Mazuelo, Viura, Malvasía, etc.
