About the winery
The enthusiasm and passion of the married couple María Sáenz-Olazábal and José Manuel Echeverría for wine and for an area made the Alzania project possible in 2000. Its 10 hectares of its own vineyards are located in Los Arcos and Arróniz. The Garnacha, Tempranillo, Syrah and Merlot vines grow on clay-limestone soils, at an average altitude of 500 metres with rainfall of 580 millimetres. Average yield per hectare is limited to 4,600 kilos, with an average vine age of around 20 years. Exhaustive surveying and monitoring of the vineyards is carried out.
