About the winery
Bodega y Viñedos Maires is a boutique winery in Toro, in the DO Toro, founded in 2015 when cousins Fernando and Pablo decided to take up their ancestors' trade again. Maires is the family nickname and recalls the four generations of grape growers who came before them; the project combines viticulture with communication, the profession of one of them. Their main line, Ademán, is hand-harvested and uses hand gestures from different ages to represent each wine and its vineyard: Ademán Carabizal, a Tinta de Toro with a few months in barrel; Ademán Valdearanda and Ademán Valdecarretas, with longer ageing in French oak; and the whites Ademán Adalia Verdejo and Ademán Adalia Malvasía. The range is completed by Tentenecio, Cuzo and Dame un beso. Tasting experiences are offered at the winery.
