About the winery
Bodegas y Viñedos Valcuerna is a family winery in Cordovín, in the Alto Najerilla, at the foot of the Sierra de la Demanda, in Rioja Alta. The family has been growing grapes for five generations and looks after some 40 hectares of its own vineyards, many of them over a century old. Since launching their own brand they have made limited-production wines that aim to express the land, using only grapes from their vineyards, organised into single-site, multi-plot and single-plot wines. Their labels include Relevo La Lámpara, Valcuerna CDVIN, El Barranco de la Molinera, Valcuerna El Origen, Relevo Colección Parcelas, Pago de Valcuerna Crianza and Madam Blanco, along with a Valcuerna white, rosé and red. Visits are à la carte and adapt to the tastes and curiosity of each group.
