About the winery
Today, the Bodegas y Viñedos Valderiz plantation consists of 60 hectares planted by Tomás Esteban and 10 hectares of vineyard planted by his father that he was able to preserve, made up of more than 35 plots on different soils, bush-trained in the traditional way and grafted from the family's old vineyards. The family is one of the pioneers of organic farming in the Ribera del Duero; the total absence of herbicides, pesticides and fertilisers is its hallmark, which is leading it to think further and begin practising biodynamic viticulture.
