Cal Cabo Celler
About the winery
Cal Cabo is a small family winery in Sant Martí de Maldà, in the Vall del Riu Corb subzone of the Costers del Segre D.O. Rosa Maria Bisa Felip started it in 2009 and released the first wines the following year. The winery occupies the lower floor of the house, where a medieval castle once stood, in old chambers dug out to store grain. From its vineyards, which alternate with olive trees, it keeps only part of the grapes for four wines: Curvus, an aged red named after the river Corb, Curvus Blanc, and Un Onzè rosé and red, whose name recalls the tribute the valley's inhabitants paid to their lord. It also produces Mas de Sant Pere olive oil.
