About the winery
The young Ramon Canals, a graduate in Pharmacy and Oenology with a master's in Viticulture, Oenology and Wine Marketing, and the third generation of the Canals family, heads the personal project begun in 2002, whose first bottles saw the light on 17 October 2007. The Duran Gran Reserva project was born from the desire to make high-quality sparkling wines in our land, on a par with other sparkling wines around the world. That is why we created Duran, which stands out for ageing of more than 30 months, instead of the legal minimum of 9 months (young cava) or 15 months (Cava Reserva).
