About the winery
The history of Rosmas goes back to 1925, when its founder, Josep Ros Capdevila, son of Francesc Ros Caba, began making sparkling wine, as it was then called, in a very modest, handcrafted way. Family tradition: on the Can Guineu estate he farmed the vines by hand, devoting a third of the crop to making wine for his own consumption. In 1942, with the notes left by his father (a student of Alfredo Delapierre in introducing the champenoise method in this country), he began making the first bottles of cava for family consumption.
