About the winery
Cavas Hill is the legacy of the entrepreneurial spirit of an Englishman, Joseph Hill, who in 1761 settled in the El Maset vineyards in Moja (between Barcelona and Tarragona) to grow vines and make wine. For generations his descendants carried on the family work. His son Joan inherited his father's business and built the farmhouse where the company is now based, along with the winery, separated from the house by a door whose lintel still bears the engraved year the winery was founded: 1887.
