About the winery
Magrinyà Calaf cava is the legacy of a family of winegrowers with more than two hundred years of experience. According to the oldest surviving deed, dated 1810, the Vidales family has grown vines since the early 19th century. Throughout all these years the family combined vines with other traditional crops, and it was not until the mid-20th century that the vine became the main element. The cava was born from the enthusiasm of winegrower Francisco Calaf Vidales to make his own sparkling wines.
