About the winery
Cedó Anguera is a small family winery in La Serra d'Almos, in the Montsant D.O. The family is mainly devoted to vines, and to a lesser extent to olive and cherry trees, with plots in La Serra d'Almos and Darmós. Their vineyards are dominated by the area's traditional varieties, Carignan and Grenache, together with some Syrah, and they make wine seeking the typicity of the land with minimal intervention. They built the winery at the end of 2006 on an estate near the village, among century-old vines and olive trees, with views of the Montalt range. The visit covers the vineyards, the winery and the barrel room, with a tasting of a young red, a single-varietal Syrah and a crianza aged fourteen months in oak.
