About the winery
El Vinyer, located in Fígols de Tremp in the Pallars Jussà, is a family business devoted to growing vines and making wine. Before phylloxera reached Catalonia, the Pallars Jussà had some 8,000 hectares of vineyards and was known as the wine cellar of the Pyrenees. El Vinyer has revived one of these old production areas to plant its vineyards. The estate lies in an area known as “els vinyers de Fígols”, where for decades the villagers grew vines. This area is still known by its old name today.
