About the winery
Celler Sui Generis is a winery in Els Guiamets, in the Priorat area, covered by the D.O. Montsant. The project began in 2004, when three wine growers set out to make Montsant wines, and it operates as a cooperative under the name Celler Sui Generis SCCL. Its vineyards grow on poor clay and limestone soils, which force the vines to seek moisture deep underground. The main varieties are the area's most traditional ones, chiefly carignan and grenache. Farming is environmentally friendly, using traditional methods, without herbicides and with as few treatments as each vintage allows. Its wine is the Sui Generis red, which is sold directly at the winery in Els Guiamets.
