About the winery
Cellers Most Doré now leads to Montesquius, a cava and wine house with its cellar in the historic centre of Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, on the Rambla de la Generalitat, in the heart of the Alt Penedès. Its journey began in 1918 with the Santacana Roig family, one of the most deeply rooted in the area, which had already replanted its vineyards after phylloxera. They still make their wines using traditional methods and grapes from growers who tend the vines daily: macabeo, xarel·lo, parellada, chardonnay and monastrell. After each harvest they select the best musts for their Reserva and Gran Reserva cavas, such as Montesquius 1918, Gran Montesquius or Colección Privada, and they also have wines and an organic line. They offer guided visits with cava tastings.
