Cota 730 is a high-mountain wine project in Rialp, in the Pallars Sobirà, in the heart of the Lleida Pyrenees. Behind it is the Sebastià Sarroca family, young entrepreneurs with roots in a traditionally agricultural area who want to reinvent the sector with respect for the land. Their vineyard is small and low-yielding, planted on terraces reclaimed from old fields, with slopes of over 30% and dry-stone walls, on stony, well-drained slate soils; they have even replanted la vinyeta, an old site where vines grew before and after phylloxera. They make two wines, Horitzó and Infinit. The visit takes you through the vineyard to explain high-altitude growing and ends with a tasting paired with Pallars produce.
