About the winery
Dani Mabe Wines is the personal project of Dani, a winemaker and agricultural engineer from Quemada, in the Burgos part of the D.O. Ribera del Duero. After more than twenty years as technical director and winemaker at three other wineries in the appellation, he decided to make his own wine from the plots his family has farmed for several generations. His vineyards, at 850 to 900 metres on sandy, clay and gravel soils, are farmed organically, without herbicides or pesticides, and with the respectful pruning he learned from his father to look after the old vines. He makes signature wines such as W1, W2 With Skins, D1, M1 and RS, all bearing the By Dani MABE name.
