About the winery
The Serranía de Ronda has a great diversity of microclimates, influenced by the proximity of the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. The winery works 10 ha of vineyards spread over three estates. Finca Descalzos Viejos has 6 ha of vineyards on the upper and middle part of the slope of the Tajo, at an altitude of about 650 m. This vineyard is characterised by low temperatures in winter and high ones in summer, little rainfall and a rather stony soil of limestone nature and loamy texture.
