About the winery
Dominio de Anza is the label under which Diego Magaña makes wine in Bierzo. A Navarre native and son of Juan Magaña, of the well-known Viña Magaña, he came to this appellation through his friendship with Raúl Pérez and his admiration for his wines, which is why he works in a corner of Pérez's winery in Valtuille de Abajo. He works old vines from the area, harvesting and vinifying each plot separately, with native yeasts and in traditional open vats. His reds are Selección de Parcelas, from vineyards in Valtuille de Abajo and Otero, and Finca El Rapolao, from that site. It is a small, artisanal project focused on showing the character of each vineyard.
