About the winery
El Coto de Rioja was born in 1970. The winery was founded by a group of people of recognised prestige and experience in the sector, under the auspices of the industrial bank Bankunión, and it took almost 5 years to release that first vintage onto the market. By then the wine had already begun its optimal evolution, and among lovers of good Riojas that first release made a real impact. El Coto, a relatively young winery, is one of the leaders of the D.O.Ca.
