Eme Bodegas is a traditional, fully underground winery dug 15 metres deep in the old cellar quarter of Fuensaldaña, a few kilometres from Valladolid and in the D.O. Cigales area. It dates back to the 17th century and half a century ago became part of the family heritage after being restored; there its clarete gained a reputation thanks to Argimiro, grandfather Emilio and father Emilio. In 2020 Ricardo Crespo decided to revive the winery's commercial activity and bring its vineyards, some of them a century old, of tempranillo and garnacha, back into full production. Its wine press is still in use and produces wines such as M, Durangas, Zarzo and Glotón de Eme. They run small-group guided visits with a tasting to go down into the heart of the cellar.
