Fábrica de Hojalata is a winery producing natural organic wines housed in the former Real Fábrica de Hojalata de San Miguel, a tinplate factory founded in 1725 in Júzcar, beside the river Genal, in the Serranía de Ronda and close to the Sierra de las Nieves. The building, home to Spain's first blast furnace, was restored after centuries of neglect with the furnace kept intact, and it is listed as a Site of Cultural Interest. Its small vineyard, with plots such as La Vega Grande, La Vega Chica and Carita al Sol, yields wines with no added sulphites and the name engraved on the glass: Pinot Noir, Tintilla, KBR.net.19, Moscatel Morisco and Coupage Andaluz. By appointment it offers tours of the factory, the furnace and the vineyard with a tasting, plus options with a meal or a night on the estate.
