About the winery
Finca Bell-Lloc, in Palamós, is home to Celler Brugarol, a D.O. Empordà winery set in the Gavarres hills, a few minutes from the coast. Its building, designed by the RCR architecture studio, is an almost entirely underground space that combines contemporary architecture with artisanal winemaking. Oenologist Marta Arenas oversees minimal-intervention wines that aim to respect each variety: monastrell, xarel·lo, malvasia, carignan, muscat, cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon and several kinds of grenache, black, white, red, hairy, grey and tintorera. The estate is managed sustainably, with vines, a vegetable garden, olive trees and a flock of sheep. It offers guided visits all year round in Catalan, Spanish and English.
