Hacienda Grimón

◍ La Rioja

About the winery

Hacienda Grimón is a small family winery in Ventas Blancas, in the Jubera Valley at the foot of Camero Viejo, within the D.O.Ca. Rioja. Paco Oliván founded it in 1999, in a family with a long farming, grape-growing and livestock tradition. They only use grapes from their own vineyards, which they tend traditionally and with an organic approach: they fertilise with composted sheep manure and use no herbicides. They harvest by hand and sort the grapes both in the vineyard and in the winery. The range includes a Viura white, a Sauvignon Blanc, a Garnacha rosé, a young Tempranillo red, crianza and reserva, and two special wines: Desvelo, a Graciano, and Finca La Oración.
