The MESTRES family, documented in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia before 1312 as vineyard owners and also as cereal and wine merchants, has remained linked to the world of wine for 29 generations. At the time, 1312 was taken as the founding year of Bodegas MESTRES, as stated on the first labels of the 1312 sparkling wine.
